“Perhaps I should have read something into the fact that when I first laid eyes on Sam some girl was yelling at him, and when I first met Kevin he nearly killed me...”

Jo’s summer is off to an interesting start. Now all the teenager needs is a job, future plans and a few goals for her life. No big deal right?

She’d also like to know why no one talks about the horrible accident she witnessed last summer at Cornerstone church. But as much as she wants to know the truth, someone else wants to keep it a secret. Can she handle creepy stalker guys, death threats and her crazy love life without losing control?

For Jo, unravelling the mystery and piecing her life back together will mean discovering if God really listens—and if he cares enough to answer.

There’s a whole other layer here, and this is what makes it more than the average teen romance.... If you didn’t like Twilight, you’ll like this one. And if you did like Twilight, you’ll like this better. And if you’ve never heard of Twilight—forget it: just read If Only I Knew. You’ll love it.

If Only You Knew is filled with personal insights into the conflicting emotions of a young woman trying find her bearings in life. At times it is humorous, and other times you just want to slap some sense into her. One of the absolute best things about this book is Mags Storey's ability to make you feel your way through.

With well-paced humor, action, and suspense, the author draws the readers into this character-driven novel. It has all the ingredients for a page-turner. I like the way she doles out information in small bites, making us want to know more, keeping us a little off-kilter and hungry for the rest. You know there is more to each character and event than first meets the eye, and for me, anyway, half the fun is trying to guess what's coming.

I was both relieved and overjoyed to find that the Christians in the story were human, as well. In fact, some of them were downright dislikable...

Fun, Vibrant and Candid...
If Only You Knew is a perfect summer read: light, straightforward, non-threatening – and yet with plenty of depth and complexity to chew on.

Jo tends to be able to find situations where she can stumble in front of a crowd or say the absolute wrong thing at the wrong time. In other words, she's just like you and me. To top it all off she has this guilty feeling about something she saw a year before the book starts.
